Invoicing customers in the EU

Consumers and other customers in the B2C regime

For cross-border distance sales of goods to end customers in other Member States of the European Union, we use the One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme where applicable.

The price of the goods is charged to the customer including VAT in accordance with the rules applicable to the place of delivery. The relevant VAT is paid by Orfeo Office, s.r.o. through the applicable VAT scheme.

The customer selects the country of delivery in the online store. Based on this selection, the system displays the price corresponding to the applicable tax regime.

Business customers registered for VAT in another EU Member State

If the customer is registered for VAT in another Member State of the European Union and all statutory conditions for a VAT-exempt intra-Community supply of goods are met, the goods may be invoiced without Czech VAT.

Before the supply is made, we verify in particular the validity of the VAT identification number in the VIES system and whether the conditions for transporting the goods to another Member State are fulfilled.

Simply providing a foreign VAT identification number does not automatically entitle the customer to invoicing without VAT.

The Czech Financial Administration confirms that, for a VAT-exempt intra-Community supply, the customer must, among other conditions, be registered for VAT in another Member State and the goods must actually be transported to another Member State.
